Mechanical Project Manager Our client is a multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK and Europe with a turnover of €750m and sustained annual growth of 5%–7.5%. The Role Requirements What’s on Offer This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to take ownership of a major mechanical scope on one of Europe’s most advanced data centre projects.
Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join the project team on a major data centre development in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a key delivery role with responsibility for managing the mechanical works from design through installation, commissioning, and handover.
Reporting to the MEP Lead / Project Director, the Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of the mechanical scope on the project. Key responsibilities include:
• Managing mechanical works from design development through to final handover
• Coordinating mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliers
• Ensuring mechanical systems are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements
• Managing mechanical design coordination and technical compliance
• Tracking progress, resolving issues, and implementing recovery plans where required
• Coordinating interfaces with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams
• Managing RFIs, technical queries, and change control
• Supporting procurement, cost control, and commercial reporting
• Leading inspections, testing, commissioning, and client handover activities
• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer on large-scale projects
• Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, pharma, or other highly serviced environments
• Solid understanding of HVAC, cooling, and associated mechanical systems
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong focus on health & safety and quality management
• Willingness to be site-based in Frankfurt (rotational or expat basis)
